Updated analysis of NN elastic scattering data to 1.6 GeV.
An energy-dependent and set of single-energy partial-wave analyses of NN elastic scattering data have been completed. The fit to 1.6 GeV has been supplemented with a low-energy analysis to 400 MeV. Using the low-energy fit, we study the sensitivity of our analysis to the choice of πNN coupling constant. We also comment on the possibility of fitting np data alone. These results are compared with...
متن کاملUpdated analysis of NN elastic scattering to 3 GeV
In our previous analysis of nucleon-nucleon (NN) elastic scattering data [1], the upper energy limit was extended from 2.5 to 3.0 GeV in the laboratory kinetic energy, Tp, in order to accomodate higher-energy proton-proton (pp) scattering measurements from SATURNE II at Saclay and the EDDA Collaboration at COSY. Comparisons were made with the direct amplitude reconstruction (DAR) and partial-wa...
متن کاملUpdated resonance photodecay amplitudes to 2 GeV.
We present the results of an energy-dependent and set of single-energy partial-wave analyses of single-pion photoproduction data. These analyses extend from threshold to 2 GeV in the laboratory photon energy, and update our previous analyses to 1.8 GeV. Photo-decay amplitudes are extracted for the baryon resonances within this energy range. We consider two photoproduction sum rules and the cont...
متن کاملNONDYNAMICAL ANALYSIS OF SPIN AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON ELASTIC SCATTERING IN OPTIMAL FORMALISM AT 6.0 GeV/C
Optimal conditions are used in nondynamical formalism to diagonalize the pionproton reaction matrix as much as possible. Invariance laws are imposed to simplify the relationship between observables and bilinear combination of amplitudes. Transverse amplitudes are determined by using measured polarization parameter in xfp elastic scattering at 6.0 GeVIC
متن کاملHELICITY AND PLANAR AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON SCATTERING AT 6.0 GeV/c
In addition to optimal conditions, invariant laws of Lorentz, parity and time reversal are imposed to find the relation between observables (spin rotation parameters) and bilinear combination of helicity amplitudes in pion-proton elastic scattering at 6.0 GeV/c. By normalizing the differential cross-section to unity, the magnitudes of helicity amplitudes and the angle between them are dete...
